Last week was Maori Language Week.
On Wednesday we swapped classrooms to do different activities.
Dominic, Nasser, Kent and Hannah A went to Room 5. They listened to a Maori legend about a kiwi. Then they made beautiful kiwi pictures with glitter and real feathers.
Lauren, Tomin, Charlotte and Owen went to Room 6 where they made Maori patterns out of red, white and black card.
Kaleb, Michelle, James, Elaizo and Hannah R spent the morning in Room 3 where they practised their weaving skills.
Hepzibah and Jayden went to Room 1. They wrote and decorated Maori proverbs using ICT.
Connor went to Room 2 with Paul and Suvin where they learnt how to perform with rakau.
Ellie went on her own to Room 7 to sing beautiful waiata.
Matthew, John and Miharo stayed in Room 4 to practise poi and haka.
